This is something I actually just tried, and LOVED. So I have to share it with everyone.
So easy to grab and go when your on the run, which I usually am, keeps you full and satisfied with protein, fibre, iron, omega-3 Fatty acids, and a bit of sugar from the chocolate chips 🙂 (you can exclude them if you’d prefer….but I mean it’s chocolate)
Heres the Recipe!
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips or dark chocolate, (in this picture I did not have either soooo I improvised and used white chocolate chips.. oh well thats life)
- 1/2 cup ground flax seed or chia seeds (I used both cause I ran out of flax :))
- 1/2 cup crunchy or smooth peanut butter
- 1/3 cup of honey
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Combine everything in a big ass bowl until its all mixed, and roll into small or large balls, up to you! The ones I made were medium sized and made about 10-12 balls!
I keep them in the freeze cause I prefer how they taste cold and they stick together better, but up to you!
