Triple Berry Banana Smoothie Bowl

IMG_2562

Smoothies or smoothie bowls are my absolute favourite because they are so versatile, you can throw any ol’ thing in there or on top of it and make it taste good. Its the perfect way to get your daily dose of nutrients, fibre, antioxidants and give you that early morning energy to start the day right! This recipe is my usual go-to smoothie because its packed with vitamins, makes me feel good, and tastes delicious!

Triple Berry Smoothie Bowl Recipe:

  • 1 cup of frozen mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries)
  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 an avocado
  • Approx. 1 cup of spinach
  • 1 tbsp of chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp of hemp hearts
  • Almond milk (I don’t measure this, usually fill it until it almost covers the ingredients)
  • Blend it up!

You can blend it longer and add more liquid if you don’t want it to be thick like a smoothie bowl, and just drink it! Orrr.. you can blend it just until everything’s mixed up and theres no chunks so its thick then add toppings on it.

  • Toppings in this recipe: another handful of berries, chopped walnuts, sprinkle of chia seeds, and a handful of chocolate chips (because why not?). But feel free to top it with anything else you like! The options are endless.
  • My other fav toppings: shredded coconut, frozen mango, drizzle peanut butter, hemp seeds, goji berries, slivered almonds, homemade granola, banana, etc!

Smoothies are super quick and easy to make when your busy and on the go, you can also blend it the night before and put it in a mason jar, freeze it, then take it the next day just shake it throughout the day until its thawed. Also you can get all the ingredients ready in a freezer bag the night before, then in the morning you just have to dump it all in the blender and your good to go!

Hope you enjoy friends!
